Exhibition Overview

Shanghai Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai), founded in 1985, has been successfully held for 16 editions. During the past 31 years, Auto Shanghai not only witnesses the changing of times, but also the rising of China’s automobile industry and the fast development of automobile market.

Auto Shanghai makes constant innovation and break through from its beginning. Auto Shanghai 2015 was staged successfully at the new venue - National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).With a total exhibition scale of more than 350,000 square meters and 1,500 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, Auto Shanghai 2015 attracted about 928,000 visitors from 74 countries and regions, meanwhile greeted more than 10,000 journalists, which created a new record for Auto Shanghai and thus joined the ranks of the top automobile industry exhibitions in the world and is widely known as the name card of Shanghai.

During the past 30 years’ development, Auto Shanghai always pays high attention to the latest innovation and development of the world’s automobile industry, and focuses on new technologies, trends and products which should bring infinite possibility to human life. The organizer will continuously keep “Innovation and People-Orientation” as its basic service concept and strive for the improvement and promotion of the latest exhibition technologies so as to provide visitors more amazing onsite experience and service. National Exhibition and Convention Center（Shanghai）(NECC Shanghai) is projected to edge itself as the world’s largest and most competitive MICE venue of our age. Located in the Hongqiao business district of Shanghai，it is only 1.5 km (straight-line distance) away from the Hongqiao Transportation Hub, and is connected with Hongqiao Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station via the city's Metro Line 2. Furthermore, it is only one or two hours’ drive from the major cities in the Yangtze River Delta thanks to the convenient highway networks around.

Exhibition Facilities

NECC consists of four main functions, namely, the exhibition venues, supporting retail center, office buildings and a hotel, which are linked as a whole through the eight-meter elevated Exhibition Boulevard, so that people could easily traverse among the exhibition, retail, office, hotel and other functional areas.
